The Northwest Mounties played in the Division 2 regional at Pine View Golf Course in Ypsilanti today and came up just 3 strokes away from advancing to the state tournament. It will be played next weekend in Wast Lansing. While the Mounties were close as a team, sophomore Maycee Lewis qualified to go as an individual after shooting a 96. She won on the first playoff hole and will be playing at Forest Akers on Oct 16 & 17. Senior Raeghan Waldron was just one shot behind (97) and nearly qualified as well. This was the final contest of the season for the Mounties and their 3 seniors: Bailey Krutsch, Raeghan Waldron and Ava Webb. However, they finished on a positive note and have some momentum going into the offseason.
