In their first home match of the season, the Northwest tennis team defeated Monroe 7-1. The Mounties showed the team’s depth by easily winning all the doubles matches, and later battling to win 3 out of 4 singles matches. The boys played well to improved their overall record to 6-0. The most exciting matches were from Bode Rush at 3-singles and Levi Youngman at 4-singles. Both showed grit to battle through tough competition. Reed Clark had a strong win at 2-singles. In doubles play, Jaxon Gerding, Gavin Warren, Jaedan Lincoln, Macalister Perrine, Vincent McPherson, and Jack Runkel all had dominant wins.
